Nine hints for good coffee in Baden

Coffee culture is also very important in the city on the Limmat. From a quick espresso to a cosy coffee party - this is where coffee is best enjoyed.

GapsCup

Gijtipong "Gap" Thangsubutr is a coffee expert and barista with heart and soul. In his shop he offers about 100 different coffee beans. If you want to learn how to prepare them in the best possible way, either take a close look - the shop offers the perfect view over the baristas' shoulders - or attend one of the training courses offered. Either way, a visit to Gap, the two-time Swiss champion in latte art, is well worth it!

caffè UNO

caffè UNO offers high-quality, locally roasted coffee in Baden. Whether at the espresso bar on Platform 1, at the roastery in the Oederlin area or conveniently ordered online: caffè UNO stands for enjoyment, transparency and regional coffee culture. For all those who celebrate coffee..

YanaCocha

As soon as you enter, you will notice that YanaCocha works with love and attention to detail. The interior, designed out of antique objects, the manually operated piston coffee machine, the selected coffee beans and the outdoor sports store attached to the café - everything carries the signature of the two owners Daniela Holdener and Mario Stanco. With YanaCocha they have created a real meeting space at Theaterplatz.

Café Brühbar

The Café Brühbar is your place in the sun at Cordulapassage. In addition to fine vegan goodies and healthy food, there is the finest coffee from the baristas. Immerse yourself in the warm atmosphere and enjoy your coffee in the sun.

Café Himmel

Welcome to Café Himmel at Bahnhofplatz! Rooted in Baden for 150 years, a cozy café with delicious breakfast options, warm meals, and bakery snacks from our own bakery. Enjoy award-winning Amaretti and tempting pastry creations like the cream slice or the fruity raspberry heart. Treat yourself to something special – Confiserie Himmel creates unforgettable moments of indulgence.

kafi raab

Directly on the Kurplatz near the Baths, kafi raab Kaffi Raab offers delicious cake variations as well as organically grown coffee. The organically grown coffee comes from Brazil and is roasted in the Zurich family business Stoll. The Arabica beans convince with nutty and chocolaty roast flavors and come from sustainable, socially responsible cultivation. In addition, there are fresh and homemade cakes every day - from well-kept family recipes to creative new interpretations!

Spuntino

In the Vordere Metzggasse you can find it, the real Italian "Caffè"! Gianni Gravina serves espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato and caffè coretto the way you only know it from your vacations in Italy. And all of this in the middle of Baden... During the summer, we especially recommend a Caffè Spuntino, which will be served cold.

Ohne.ch

The coffee at ohne.ch is Demeter-certified and originates from the roasting plant Henauer in Höri (ZH). For 90 years the roastery has been sourcing its beans from the Finca Irlanda in Mexico. There the coffee beans are slowly ripening under shade trees and thus develop their unique aroma. Cultivation, care and harvesting are done by hand. At ohne.ch you can find the excellent tasting coffee in many different variations. One of them is the "Lavender Latte" containing homemade organic lavender syrup, an espresso shot and organic milk or vegan organic alternative milk.

Frau Meise

Frau Meise's fine coffee is accompanied by all kinds of sweet (and salty) treats. The cosy café in the Halde is a popular place for brunch and coffee gatherings. The in-house coffee creations such as the "shaken titmouse" and the "titmouse coffee" are highly recommended.

Moser’s

Moser’s at Schlossbergplatz is the meeting place of the city. The coffee brewed here is made by Kaffee Graf from Dättwil. Thanks to the short distance from the roasting plant to the coffee machine in Moser's, it is always fresh. It is best enjoyed with Café Crème, Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato and the local specialty "Badener Stein", a chocolate confectionery, on the side.

Historisches Museum Baden

An insider tip among Baden coffee lovers: The Museum Café in the Historical Museum of Baden. Located directly on the Limmat and with a view of Baden's historic old town, coffee creations made from Arabica and Robusta beans can be enjoyed in peace - even without a visit to the museum. It's especially nice during summer, sitting outside on the terrace and watching the river passing by.

Blue City Coffee

Surrounded by a stylish interior, you can enjoy the urban city feeling in the Blue City Hotel mixed with boutique ambience with an aromatic cup of coffee. Or would you prefer a cappuccino made from Arabica beans? Whether it's a latte macchiato, a hot chocolate or one of their selected teas, everything is served with a personal touch.
