Especially during the summer months, the Kappisee lake is a popular day trip destination. The highlight is the small island in the middle of the lake, where there are campfire spots, benches and tables.
Useful tip: in the immediate vicinity of the lake is the Electric Museum, where you can learn more about the use of hydroelectric power.
Route description
From the city centre, it is only a stone's throw to Kappisee lake. It can be easily reached on foot, by bicycle or by bus (line 9, to the Baden Kraftwerk bus stop).
