Jungle Expedition – Mini-Safari through the Tüfels-Chäller
There are many beautiful hiking trails to explore around Baden. One of them leads through the "Tüfels-Chäller", an enchanted forest straight out of a fairytale. The area has been a nature reserve since 1989 and, in addition to the official hiking trail - along which, by the way, generous barbecue areas have been placed - it also offers many hidden paths for little and big adventurers. Terrassenbad – cooling off for water lovers
What could be better than enjoying a swim in the Terrassenbad on a hot summer's day? The spacious grassy lawn offers sun and shade and the children's pool with sun awning invites the little ones to play. The older ones switch back and forth between the water slide and the wave pool. Are you one of the brave ones who dare to jump from the 10-metre?
By the way: During the summer months (June until August), the city library reads storybooks to the little ones every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 3.30 pm, weather permitting.
Pumptrack & Skate Park – fun on two wheels
Waves and curves for all kinds of two-wheelers await ambitious skaters, families with children or youngsters. Whether kick or skateboard, roller skate, bike or running bike - the track can be ridden in a variety of ways. Tight curves allow different route options in all directions. Steep wall curves and action elements offer additional variety and fun. In addition to the pumptrack, strength and skills can be trained on the street workout facility.
Baldegg – family idyll in the countryside
Baldegg is one of the most popular excursion destinations around Baden. There are many walking and hiking trails in the varied local recreation area. Ideal for a few hours of relaxation in the countryside. A variety of barbecue areas offer everything your heart desires: shady spots, cosy seating and plenty of space for children to play and explore. If you feel more like soaking up the sun than walking, you can linger on the terrace of the Waldgasthaus Baldegg. Right next door there is a large playground where the children can let off steam.
Source Code – time travel through the baths of Baden
The source code is ideal for families who want to do something fun and educational during the school holidays. On the interactive journey through time, exciting puzzles are solved and insights into the history of the cultural and spa town are provided. The source code starts with a "call" from Yara, who fell asleep in the thermal baths and woke up in Baden's Roman era. Clues lead you through the winding alleyways and to the historic squares of the old town. You want to help Yara back to the present - then grab your mobile phone or tablet and head to the baths of Baden. Solve the puzzles that Yara sends you at six stations and travel through 2000 years of bathing history.
