During the Advent season, Baden is bathed in a very special light. The Christmas light display leads through the streets and alleys of the city centre. Each district has its own personalised light structure. There's only one thing to do: Walk through town and be spellbound by the lights!
Since 2007, the unique Christmas light display, created by the renowned artist Willi Walter, has been illuminating Baden during Advent. The entire pedestrian zone of the city centre is decked with rows upon rows of fairy lights. 10'200 LED lights and specially crafted angel figures turn the city into a 1.8 km long work of art.
The Christmas light is powered by 100% renewable electricity from hydropower and solar energy.
