The walk starts on the wooden bridge near the Historical Museum. The "River Observatory" by Vincenzo Baviera is installed there. It opens up a whole new perspective of the Limmat flowing under the bridge. Continue upriver along the banks of the Limmat and soon you'll come across the next work of art.Proceed further until the circuit closes and you'll be standing in front of the River Observatory again. All sculptures and installations invite us to get to know the surroundings anew, to question them – and to marvel at them.
The foundation stone for the
Cultural Trail was laid by the communities of Baden, Wettingen and Neuenhof in 1991. On the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation, they organised an open-air sculpture exhibition. The Kulturweg Baden-Wettingen-Neuenhof foundation, founded in 1992, aims to "make contemporary art accessible to the public along its culture path, to maintain it and to adapt it to the constantly changing requirements of current times".
