«What Child Is This?» – Advent Concert

This Saturday evening offers much more than a concert – it is a way to get in the mood for the festive days around Christmas. It tells a musical story about the secret of Christmas, written and developed by renowned Hamburg director Zapo Schwalbe.

In search of the answer to the question "What Child Is This?", modern classics such as "Little Drummer Boy", "Grown-Up Christmas List" and "Deck the Halls" meet traditional Christmas carols such as "Maria durch ein Dornwald ging" and "Joy to the World". The unique musical performance, complemented by the two soloists Darius Merstein and Nadja Weis, is under the overall direction of Richard Geppert. The vocal ensemble will be accompanied by the callia blu band with professional musicians Cornelius Schock (piano) and Daniel Schwenger (percussion, drums).
