The meeting place
The Theaterplatz and Schlossbergplatz are located in the heart of the city, directly next to the City Tower. They invite you to linger and treat yourself to various gastronomic delights and an opportunity to sit down. In the shops around the two popular squares, you will find original gift ideas and everything for your daily needs.
There is always a lot going on on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which is when the weekly market, which extends through the Weite Gasse and over the Schlossbergplatz, takes place. A big flea market is held on the Theaterplatz square on the last Saturday of each month, from March till October. In summer, the Theaterplatz fills up over lunchtime, when friends play a game of chess or take part in a Boccia tournament. Occasionally, events for all ages are held here as well.
