Round trip on the Spanischbrödli railway
The Spanisch-Brötli railway ran between Baden and Zurich from 1847. Legend has it that the name comes from the fact that the Zurich nobility had the delicious ‘Spanisch Brödli’ brought to them fresh from the oven by their servants by train. The original train no longer runs today, but its small counterpart on wheels can be hired for round trips in the Baden region.
